Welcome to 23rd World Congress of AIMS held in Europe’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2019 - Batumi, Georgia between 23-26 April 2020!
The Great Batumi Night Race Batumi is becoming the hub of all kind of activities: sport, culture, arts, finances, politics and etc. We’ve received the status of the Europe’s Sport City and the award of the “Europe’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2019”.
Both of them underline how rapidly Batumi grows in different directions and how important it becomes worldwide. The Great Batumi Night Race is becoming an inseparable part of Batumi - it has received the love of the locals and respect of the foreign runners and amateurs.
It unites the whole city and not only through its innovation, but also variety of routes and diversity of the environment. The organizers and the volunteers as well as the participants are having fun on this event encouraging the healthy lifestyle both in kids and adults and promoting Batumi at the same time.
After Tbilisi Marathon this is the second marathon run in Georgia with the newest history but the promising future - Hosting AIMS Congress in 2020 in Batumi already emphesizes its credibility and scale.
It is my pleasure to welcome the participants from all around the world at The Great Batumi Night Race and the delegates of AIMS Congress in 2020!
Head of Tourism Department of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara
The Hotel Colosseum Marina welcomes you as host and organizer of The Great Batumi Night Race and the 23 AIMS World Congress 2020. The congress itself takes place in our partner hotel Hilton Batumi. You can use our shuttle service at any time or you can walk about 10 minutes on the fantastic Batumi Boulevard directly on the beach of the Black Sea from hotel to hotel.
The 23rd AIMS World Congress is themed: Enhance Race Experience through Technology. Digitization does not stop at running, whether we want it or not. There are many good examples of this: from heart rate measurement to the finisher video clip, from step length measurement to live tracking for runners and spectators. What is technically possible today? What else is waiting for us? What good is the runner actually and what does the runner really want? These interesting questions will be discussed during this congress. Experience professional speakers and get a picture yourself. We are looking forward to your participation. And we wish you to benefit as an organizer. See you in Batumi!
